INTERACT-EUROPE 100 is an ambitious, EU-funded project that aims to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration between oncology professionals in 100 centres across Europe.
The INTERACT2 project aims to implement the Inter-specialty Cancer Training (ISCT) curriculum to foster a cancer patient-centric approach based on multidisciplinary and multi-professional teams working across Europe. The project will critically review the current state of inter-specialty training resources, produce innovative learning resources, and ensure the needs of oncology patients across Europe are addressed.
Supporting the decentralised implementation of the ISCT program for trainers and trainees at the national level will be the establishment of a specialized digital learning management system tailored to the demands of oncology specialists.
IEO shares its knowledge and experience at an early stage to provide feedback and further inform the implementation of the ISCTP at the national level, contributing to the refining of the mitigation measures and any adjustments that may be necessary. Then IEO supports tasks which aim to organise and perform the ISCT programme delivery across Europe, promoting the networking of ISCTP trainers across borders and the creation of an EU inter-specialty cancer training community. Additionally, IEO pledges to help promote the participation of other cancer centres trainees and trainers as part of a second cohort of the Inter-Speciality Cancer Training Programme (ISCTP) and to disseminate the learning and best practices of the programme to the wider cancer and healthcare community.
The IEO aims to provide excellent care for cancer patients. Cancer patients need the best care; oncology professionals need the best work environment and the best educational program to care of patients and their caregivers. The Interspecialty Cancer Training Program is a well-designed curriculum that balances specialized knowledge and interpersonal skills in a way that implements a culture of teamwork based on expertise, but also on respect and valuing diversity. Therefore, IEO believes that all European cancer centres should participate in INTERACT-EUROPE 100 to co-create a shared interdisciplinary approach of integrated cancer care. This alliance could be a concrete response to the suffering of our european cancer patients. To take part in this important challenge sign up! INTERACT-EUROPE 100
