Dr Nicoletta Colombo graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1980 and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology,. She carried out her first clinical research activities at the Service of Oncologic Gynecology at Mangiagalli Clinic and later at the Hospital San Gerardo in Monza, associating an intense collaboration with the laboratories of Immunology and Cancer Pharmacology at the Mario Negri Institute in studies on immunology and pharmacokinetics, respectively, of drugs used in clinical practice.
After a period of training and clinical research at the Medical Oncology Unit at Charing Cross Hospital and Royal Marsed Hopsital in London and at the Department of Immunology at the Dana-Farber Institute in Boston, she became Associate of Clinical Research at the Division of Medical Oncology of New York University for a period of two years in 1985.
She continues her clinical and research work in the field of gynecologic malignancies as assistant and as associate chief at the third Obstetrics-Gynecology Clinic of the University of Milan. She has been working at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan since 1994.
