How to reach IEO 1 and IEO 2
By car
From city centre, go south from Corso di Porta Romana to corso di Porta Vigentina and on to Via Ripamonti up to no. 435.
From the motorways A8 (Varese) - A9 (Como) - A4 (Torino) - A7 (Genova): take Tangenziale Ovest up to the Val Tidone-Milano Vigentina exit and stay on this route in the direction of Milan Centro; take via Ripamonti up to no. 435.
Parking in IEO: the Institute provides a multi-storey underground car park, which is accessed directly from the main entrance. Upon arrival, an officer of the surveillance will give you the necessary information. Rates:
- First 2 hours: € 1.50 per hour
- From the 3rd to the 12th hour: € 1.00 per hour
- From the 13th to the 24th hour: € 0.50 per hour

By public transport
From central Milan, take tram no. 24 direction Vigentino to the terminus, then take bus no. 99 (direction Noverasco) or bus no. 222 (direction Pieve Emanuele) and get off at the following stop (Ripamonti – Macconago).
From the Central Station, take Underground line 2 (green line) to Abbiategrasso station, then take the IEO shuttle. Or take Underground line 3 (yellow line) to Crocetta Stations, then tram no.24 (direction Vigentino) to the terminus, and then bus no.99 or no.222 (direction Noverasco) and get off at the next stop.
From Malpensa Airport, take the shuttle to the Central Station, then follow the directions above.
Direct connection from the Linate airport to IEO
Take bus no.73 (Via Larga), then follow the direction above from central Milan.From 27th July to 27th October, Linate will be taking a break for renovation. Meanwhile, all the information on flights will be flying at Malpensa airport.
Shuttle Service
There is a free shuttle service from the Institute to the stop "Abbiategrasso" of the MM2 Green Line (direction Abbiategrasso). Download the timetable.
